Radio media analysis

1. Definition
Radio media analysis is a content analysis method for evaluating the sound broadcasts (news, presenting, articles) of radio stations.

2. Applications
Radio media analysis mostly involves evaluation of reports on the client's own company and services / products in radio programs. In addition to quantitative data such as range, regional variation and duration of items, qualitative evaluations investigate the nature of statements issued. This enables conclusions to be drawn with respect to perception of content by listeners.

3. Conduct
Analysis of radio stations is based on recordings on certain topics or key words. The recordings are usually assembled by external service providers. Quantitative data is usually generated in the same process (e.g. type of radio station, program format, range, broadcasting times, duration, etc.). Alongside predefined search terms, it is also possible to investigate name mentions, key messages etc. In qualitative terms, evaluations and other contexts are investigated. Analysis and evaluation of the data obtained is as described for print media analysis.
